What are the mysteries of the famous Peacock Room? How do Buddhist icons come alive? How did people drink matcha in 18th-century Japan? Why did a ghost become Chinese painting's favorite subject? Please join Dickinson alumni, parents and friends to learn the answers to these questions. Professor Ren Wei, Associate Professor of Art History, will be your guide for a morning of conversation on East Asian art in the Smithsonian National Museum of Asian Art in D.C
In an effort to keep the tour small and foster conversation, we will offer two time slots. Please choose one when registering. Each tour will last approximately 90 minutes and then you are free to continue to spend time on your own in the museum. Register early as space is limited.
