Reading Terminal Market Scavenger Hunt

Prepare to see the Reading Terminal Market in a different way during our Munch Around the Market Scavenger Hunt! This game is created by Watson Adventures, which is led by Julie Schoenberg Jacobs ’90.

Throughout this delectable challenge, you'll sample some of Reading Market's best foods: artisanal chocolates, sinful cheesecakes, Amish baked goods, soft pretzels, cappuccino, cupcakes, roast pork and more. You’ll also drop into the Convention Center and take a look at Reading Terminal’s glory days as a train station.

This is a great opportunity to get active, meet other alumni and bond with old friends while exploring one of the finest public markets in the U.S.

Saturday, Feb. 28
2-4 p.m.

Reading Terminal Market
1136 Arch St.
Philadelphia, PA 19107

In teams, you’ll follow fascinating clues to explore the market and find answers to tricky, amusing questions. Plus, you’ll take creative photos of your team sampling sinful foods.

On this food challenge, you’ll discover:
• ice cream once made with the help of mules;
• chocolates that might remind you of Grey's Anatomy, featured on Bizarre Foods;
• Philbert, the pig that’s a cash cow, with his telltale tail; and
• the terminal’s Grand Hall and its 509-foot-high roof--the only remaining single-span iron roof in the world.

Even if you’re on a diet, you’ll still have fun on this scavenger-hunt-style food challenge!

This event takes two hours and is designed for adults, but children 12 and older are welcome.
